Our activities on 2025
Highlights of the 2025 Singapore Youth International Piano Arts Festival
As a new journey begins, the music of last summer still resonates in our memories.
In the summer of 2025, the Singapore Youth International Piano Arts Festival opened a window to the world of music for young pianists from different regions. Blending professional musical training with cultural exploration, the festival offered participants a rich and memorable artistic experience.
Now, as preparations for the 2026 festival officially begin, we revisit the moments that made this journey so special.
Musical Activities: From Learning to the Stage
Throughout the festival, students received structured and professional piano training. A total of approximately 60 sessions were conducted, including one-to-one masterclasses, two master concerts, a student recital, and an international piano competition, guiding students through a complete artistic process from study to performance.
One-to-One Masterclasses
The masterclasses provided students with in-depth and personalised instruction, covering both technical foundations and musical expression.
Renowned pianists JongEun Lee (Korea) and Stefan Bonev (Bulgaria) worked closely with students across nearly 60 sessions, helping them refine technique, deepen interpretation, and gain new artistic insights.
Master Concerts
Two master concerts brought together musical perspectives from around the world. Through live performance and observation, students experienced diverse styles and interpretations, further inspiring their passion for music.
Student Recital
The student recital offered a platform for participants to present their learning成果 on stage. Each performance reflected the students’ growth, confidence, and personal musical voice.
International Piano Competition
The international competition encouraged students to challenge themselves through performance and exchange. By participating, students gained valuable stage experience while learning from peers in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Cultural Study Experience: Discovering Singapore
Beyond music, the festival featured carefully planned cultural activities that allowed students to experience Singapore’s vibrant diversity.
Culinary Exploration
From Hainanese chicken rice to the bold flavours of durian, students explored Singapore through its food culture. Shared meals became moments of connection, creating friendships beyond the music classroom.

City Landmarks
Students visited iconic landmarks such as Merlion Park, Gardens by the Bay, Night Safari, and Universal Studios Singapore, each offering new perspectives and lasting memories.
Cultural & Academic Visit
A visit to the National University of Singapore gave students a glimpse into Singapore’s academic environment, inspiring reflection on future possibilities and global pathways.

Looking Ahead
The festival created a multi-dimensional international platform where students learned alongside distinguished artists and connected with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In 2026, we look forward to continuing this journey — where music flows through the fingertips, and the world unfolds before the eyes.
Stay tuned for upcoming festival updates.
